What to Expect

Saulston Community Church is driven by a passion to make disciples of Jesus Christ who Worship Passionately, Love Extravagantly, and Witness Boldly. Most guests first connect through one of our Sunday worship services in the sanctuary at either 8:45 or 11:00 where childcare is provided. Worship is definitely the heartbeat of SCC. You will find the services to be casual in dress and the messages uplifting and challenging. Our early service worship style is guitar led and blends both contemporary and traditional elements. The 11:00 service is predominantly southern gospel piano style with a strong choir. You will also hear men's, youth, and children's ensembles regularly. Occasionally, you will even enjoy live art being painted and other creative expressions during the service. We typically celebrate the Lord's Supper on first Sundays monthly with open communion. Children's church is provided at the 11:00 service.

The usual next step is Sunday School. Join us at 9:45 in the Fellowship Hall for a gathering with coffee and donuts, then head to your choice of excellent discipleship classes provided for all ages. Alternatively, Bible studies led by Pastor Jeff are available on Thursdays at 10:00 am and 6:00 pm in the Youth Room. Currently, we are studying the Book of Revelation.

SCC enjoys both a dynamic children's ministry called SPARK led by Camille Frederick, and a student ministry called SALT led by Stephen Frederick. You can engage with your children through grade 5 at our regular SPARK events designed for the whole family. It's our mission to come alongside parents and equip them as the primary disciplers of their children. SALT runs weekly on Sundays at 5:00 for middle and high schoolers, with other special events throughout the year.

Through the Spring & Summer the Saulston ball field is alive with lots of leagues for children and adults. Come play or cheer on your teams, but be sure to grab one of our famous hot dogs either way.

The church exists not only to connect in worship, discipleship, and fellowship, but also to serve the community and the world. Whether it's serving at the Goldsboro Soup Kitchen, making Christmas shoeboxes for children around the world, or serving within the church, you can make a real difference by putting your heart and skills to work helping others!
